Due to energy considerations in the United States, the Energy Policy Act of 2005 has extended Daylight Saving Time in 2007. FundSERV participated in an ad hoc working group comprised of financial industry stakeholders that unanimously recommended that Ontario coordinate Daylight Saving Time with the USA. This recommendation was accepted by the Ontario government. Currently, Daylight Saving occurs on the first Sunday in April and last Sunday in October. In 2007, it will change to the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday in November. On March 11, 2007 at 2 a.m., the time will spring forward to 3 a.m. and on November 4, 2007 at 2 a.m., the time will fall back to 1 a.m. FundSERV is reviewing all operating systems, software, hardware and network appliances to determine the impact and make the necessary changes and tests to ensure that there are no service interruptions and that the TFS order time stamping service is not affected in any way. All customers are encouraged to conduct a review of their own technology to ensure that there will be no disruption to trading activities. On March 11, 2007, all FundSERV systems will be available for customer verification and testing. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact tech@fundserv.com. |
