They came. They listened. They learned.

Back in July, Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) management employees visited FundSERV to attend an information

session presented by Alan Hutton, retiring president and CEO. This was part of IFIC's effort to further educate its employees on the investment fund industry.

Presenting to a dozen IFIC employees and some interested FundSERV staff, Hutton gave an overview of the evolution of FundSERV from its vision in 1993, to its now prominent role as the industry-standard B2B network and application provider.

Hutton covered a variety of topics, including FundSERV's strategic goals, success factors, network security, order processing and net settlement. Once the presentation concluded, Hutton took interested parties on a tour of the facility to give them a better understanding of how FundSERV operates.

"It was a real pleasure to educate the IFIC employees on who FundSERV is, what we do, and how we service the investment fund industry," says Hutton. "Being that we're not in the public eye, many people are unaware of the services we provide. I'm impressed with the IFIC employees' thirst for knowledge. They now have a better understanding of the role of our network in facilitating transactions between dealers and manufacturers."
