Installing the root certificate to your browser will stop most of the security alert pop-ups from appearing when you access the site. What is a root certificate? A root certificate is a self-signed certification authority (CA) certificate that identifies a CA (for example: the FundSERV Certificate Authority). It is called a root certificate because it is the certificate for the root CA. The root CA must sign its own CA certificate because, by definition, there is no higher certifying authority to sign its CA certificate. Why should I install the FundSERV root certificate? Installing the FundSERV root certificate allows your browser to know that the server certificates issued to FundSERV applications are trusted. It will thereby eliminate most of the pop-up messages that appear each time you access the secure web pages. How do I install the FundSERV root certificate? First download the Installation Guide for your browser:
Then click or paste the following URL into your browser address line. Once installed, the next time you open the site in a browser, you will not be prompted with a security alert message.
