What is it?
Using Inquiry, customers can directly access the client accounts of our fund manufacturer partners. Depending on your arrangements with the manufacturer, you may be able to view client account information or fund information, including prices.
Using Transaction Search, customers can search our database for any transaction placed by a distributor.
Who uses it?
Distributors and intermediaries use Inquiry.
Fund manufacturers use Transaction Search.
How does it work?
Inquiry:
Customers using the FundSERV network can access an inquiry service using either:
- Browser-based screens (custom-developed screens by fund manufacturers), or
- FUNDcom (FundSERV-developed common web-based inquiry system across multiple manufacturers that uses Public Key Infrastructure for security).
Of these methods, customers coming in from the Internet can access only FUNDcom.
Select a manufacturer first, then select a client account. For browser-based screens by manufacturers and legacy screens, users must arrange for authorization from each specific company before logging into the various systems.
Transaction Search:
A customer enters a transaction search on the Find Orders screen. Then the Order Summary screen appears listing all the orders that meet the search criteria. Users can change the sort order and view Order Details.
