What is it?
Transaction Forwarding System (TFS), also called Order Entry, enables our customers to electronically place a variety of investment fund transactions and receive corresponding responses. Customers can create, submit, change, cancel and search for orders.
In 2009, FundSERV processed 30,094,170 transactions.
Who uses it?
Distributors and intermediaries
How does it work?
TFS contains easy-to-follow screens that allow a distributor to place an order to a fund manufacturer and receive an instant response. Order Entry can process the following different transaction types:
- Purchase to existing or new account
- Redemption
- Switch
- External transfer
- Internal transfer to existing or new account
- Fee
- Commission rebate purchase to existing or new account
- LSIF rollover
- Segregated fund reset
Every step of the way, the system makes sure the required information is complete. If information is missing or incorrect, the system sends an error message. The error must be corrected before the user can complete the transaction.
In addition to placing orders, customers can use TFS to set up an account, view order responses, place "As of" orders, cancel, change and copy orders, place a reversal, and find orders.
See diagram of order lifecycle.
